How to say “the comfort” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَبِالنَّصْبِ مَا رَجَا مِنْهُ الرَّاحَةُ
And what he hoped for through toil was comfort.
الرَّاحَةُ — the comfort. A noun made definite by al- ('the comfort') functioning as the predicate of the sentence, hence the nominative ending. With no spoken 'was', it pairs with the relative clause to say what the hoped-for thing turned out to be.
