How to say “toil” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَبِالنَّصْبِ مَا رَجَا مِنْهُ الرَّاحَةُ
And what he hoped for through toil was comfort.
وَبِالنَّصْبِ — and by the toil. Three pieces fused: the connector wa- ('and'), the preposition bi- ('by', means), and a noun made definite by al-. The bi- governs the noun in the genitive and marks it as the means, so the word reads 'and by the toil', naming how the thing was reached.
