Arabic vocabulary
How to say “the Hereafter” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَرُبَّمَا ظَنٌّ مَنْ لَا عِلْمَ لَهُ أَنَّ جَوَاذِبَ الْآخِرَةِ أَقْوَى،
And perhaps one who has no knowledge might think that the attractions of the Hereafter are stronger.
الْآخِرَةِ — the Hereafter. The owning half of an 'of' pairing ('attractions OF the Hereafter'), made definite by al- and placed in the genitive as the possessor. Set directly after the first noun with no word for 'of', it both completes the phrase and fixes its definiteness.
