How to say “the jinn” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
إِلَى مَا رُوِيَ مِنْ مَرَدَةِ الْجِنِّ
To what was reported about the rebellious among the jinn.
الْجِنّ — the jinn. This noun closes the possessive pair, 'the rebellious of the jinn', sitting right after the previous word with no separate 'of', so it is the owner and takes the possessive case. Its al- makes the category definite. The two words together specify exactly which rebellious ones, those among the jinn.
