How to say “the Lord” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَلَمَّا عَلِمَ الْمَوْلَى سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى مِنْ ضَعْفِ ابْنِ آدَمَ
When the Lord, glory be to Him and the Exalted, knew of the weakness of the son of Adam.
الْمولى — the Lord. A divine title made definite by al- ('the'), here naming the one who knew, so it is the subject of the preceding verb. The 'the' marks it as the unique, known Lord rather than just any master.
