How to say “the name” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَإِنْ دَخَلَ بَيْتَهُ ذَكَرَ اسْمَ اللَّهِ فَأَبَيْتُ خَارِجَ الدَّارِ
And if he entered his house and mentioned the Name of God, I would spend the night outside the house.
اسْمَ — the name. A noun in the accusative, the object of 'mentioned', and the head of an 'of' pairing with the divine name next: 'the name of God'. Its case marks it as the object.
