Arabic vocabulary
How to say “the servant” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَقَوْلٌ آخَرٌ إِنْ كَانَ لِلشَّيْطَانِ سُلْطَانٌ فِي إِلْقَاءِ العَبْدَ فِي المَعْصِيَةِ
And another view says that if the devil has power to cast the servant into sin.
العَبْد — the servant. Definite by 'al-' and serving as the OBJECT of the action-noun 'casting' (the one cast). The verbal noun governs it the way a verb would govern an object, so it sits in the object ending despite there being no finite verb.
