How to say “the silver” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ وَالْبَنِينَ وَالْقَنَاطِيرِ الْمُقَنْطَرَةِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ
People were made to find attractive the love of desires: women and sons, and the piled-up heaps of gold and silver.
وَالْفِضَّةِ — and the silver. The connector wa- ('and') fused onto a noun with al- ('the'), coordinating it with gold as the second material. The same material preposition governs both, so this one too sits in the genitive. The wa- simply pairs silver with gold inside the one phrase.
