How to say “the two righteous” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَسَيْرِ الصَّالِحَيْنِ الزَّاهِدَيْنِ، وَخَوْفِهِمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَىٰ،
The conduct of the two pious ascetics and their fear of God the Exalted.
الصَّالِحَيْنِ — the two righteous. A dual form — Arabic's dedicated 'exactly two' shape, folded into the word's ending — naming two righteous men. Where English needs the extra word 'two', the count lives in this word's shape; it is the owned half of 'conduct of the two righteous'.
