Arabic vocabulary
How to say “three” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
يَفْعَلُ ذَٰلِكَ كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَاتِ الثَّلاَثِ
He does that on each of those three nights.
الثَّلاَثِ — three. The number 'three' working as a describing word on 'nights', so it copies their definiteness ('al-') and their 'of' ending to agree. In Arabic the count three is itself inflected and made to match the noun it counts.
