راقب خاطرًا يمرّ كطيف، فإن وجدت فيه رياءً أو رغبةً عمياء، فاغسله بالاستغفار والعمل الهادئ
Observe a thought passing like a phantom; if you find hypocrisy or blind desire in it, cleanse it with repentance and calm action.
فَاغْسِلْهُ — cleanse it. 'fa-' = 'so, then'; 'ighsil' = a command 'wash!'; '-hu' = 'it', so 'so wash it'.

وَاغْسِلْهُ — and wash it. 'wa-' = 'and'; 'ighsil' = a command 'wash!'; '-hu' = 'it', so 'and wash it'.

وَنَغْسِلُهَا — and we wash it. Two pieces: wa- 'and' joining this to the proposal before it, and a present-tense 'we' verb with -ha, 'it', glued on as object. Connector, actor and object share the word, adding 'and wash it' to the suggested course.
