Arabic vocabulary
How to say “two” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
ثم يمكث الناس سبع سنين ليس بين اثنين عداوة،
Then people will remain for seven years without any enmity between two individuals.
اثْنَيْنِ — two individuals. This is the DUAL 'two' — Arabic's dedicated form for exactly two, marked by the '-ayn' ending (here in its genitive shape after 'between'). So the peace is so complete that no two individuals bear any grudge.
