How to say “valid” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
يَجِبُ تقديمُ مسحِ الوجهِ على مسحِ اليدين؛ فلو عَكَسَ ناسيًا لم يصحّ على المذهب
The wiping of the face must precede the wiping of the hands; if reversed inadvertently, it is not valid according to the school of thought.
يَصِحَّ — valid. Present in shape but pulled into the past by 'lam' before it — 'it was not valid.' Even a forgetful reversal does not pass: the face-before-hands order is a strict requirement, not a mere recommendation.
