Arabic vocabulary
How to say “well-protected” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا بَيْتًا مَحْجُوجًا وَحَرَمًا آمِنًا،
And make for us a well-protected house and a safe sanctuary,
مَحْجُوجًا — well-protected. A describing word attached to the 'house' just before it, narrowing what kind of house is being requested. Arabic places the adjective after its noun and matches it in definiteness and ending, so this trails the house and shares its object-marking shape.
