ومن سُنَنِه التسميةُ، وتقديمُ اليُمنى على اليُسرى، والمُوالاةُ، وتخفيفُ التراب إذا كان كثيرًا، وألّا يُكَرِّر المسح
Among its Sunnahs: saying 'Bismillah', preferring the right over the left, continuity, lightening the dust if it is excessive, and not repeating the wiping.
الْمَسْحَ — the wiping. 'the wiping,' in the -a form as object of 'repeat.' One pass is recommended; redoing the wipe is discouraged. It closes the list of tayammum's sunnahs.

However, wiping the impure limb is not valid until its impurity is removed.
مَسْحَ — wiping. An action-noun, 'wiping,' in the -a form as the subject of the 'that'-clause (forced there by 'that'). It heads an 'of' pair with 'the limb': the wiping of the limb is what will not count if that limb is impure.
