How to say “would say” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَلَوْ سُئِلَ الْجُزْعُ مِنْ أَبِيكِ لَقَالَ الْعَجْزَ
So if impatience were asked by your father, it would say helplessness.
لَقَالَ — would say. A completed-action verb ('would say') with an emphatic la- prefix that marks it as the answer to the 'if'. The la- is the signal tying this result back to the earlier supposition.
