Arabic vocabulary
How to say “you fear it” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ يَا مَلْعُونُ فَمَا الَّذِي تَخَافُهُ
He said, so I said to him, "O accursed one, what is it that you fear?"
تَخَافُهُ — you fear it. A present verb of fearing carrying its 'you' subject inside its prefix and a '-hu' (it) fused on as object, 'you fear it'. The attached pronoun points back to the relative 'which' just before, the thing in question. So one word holds verb, subject, and object together.
