How to say “you give” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ إِنْ أَعْطَيْتَنِي عَهْدًا وَمِيثَاقًا لَتُرْشِدَنَّنِي
He said, "If you give me a pledge and a covenant, you will surely guide me."
أَعْطَيْتَنِي — you give me. A past-shaped verb with its 'you' subject built in and the attached 'me' as object, 'you give me'. After the 'if' particle, past form here carries a conditional, not strictly past, sense.
