Arabic vocabulary
How to say “your husband” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَقَالَ فَإِذَا جَاءَ زَوْجُكِ فَإِقْرَئِي عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامَ
He said, "When your husband comes, recite the greeting of peace over him."
زَوجك — your husband. This noun has -ki, the feminine 'your' possessor, fused to its end, so one word means 'your husband' addressed to a woman. It is the doer of the coming verb before it. The feminine form of the possessor marks that the addressee is female.
