How to say “a son” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَكَانَتْ إِمْرَأَةٌ تُرْضِعُ إِبْنًا لَهَا مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ،
And there was a woman nursing a son of hers from among the Children of Israel,
إِبْنًا — a son. The one she nursed, the object the verb lands on, marked indefinite by its -an tail -- 'a son'. It is then further described by the 'for her' phrase that follows, pinning whose son.
