Arabic vocabulary
How to say “a treasure” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَفِي الصَّحِيحَيْنِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ أَنَّهَا كَنْزٌ مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ
And in the two Sahih collections, on the authority of the Prophet, that it is a treasure among the treasures of Paradise.
كَنْزٌ — a treasure. An indefinite noun serving as the predicate of the reported clause, telling what the 'it' IS: a treasure. No 'is' word is needed; the noun simply equates with the earlier 'it'. Its indefiniteness presents it as one treasure among many, which the next phrase confirms.
