Arabic vocabulary
How to say “admit” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى الشَّرِيكِ فَاعْتَرَفَ أَنَّهُ قَتَلَهُ
So he sent to the partner, and he admitted that he had killed him.
فَاعْتَرَفَ — and he admitted. A 'so/and' connector is fused to a past-tense verb meaning 'confessed', its 'he' subject built in. The connector chains the admission onto the summons. The verb sets up the following 'that' clause to give the content of the confession.
