And Allah associated these two principles in various places in His Book.
وَقَرَنَ — And associated. The wa- opens the sentence, fused to a plain past-tense verb, 'and he joined', with its 'he' subject built in. The doer is God; the verb means to pair or couple two things, set up by the connector tying back to the prior point.
