وبيت ماله الكذب والإسراف في المدح والهجو والتشبيه والنعوت والحماسة،
And its stock-in-trade consists of lies, exaggeration in praise, satire, similes, descriptions, and boasting,
وَالنُّعُوتِ — and the attributes. Joined by 'wa-', this is a broken plural ('descriptive epithets'), reshaped from its singular rather than suffixed. It adds the descriptive flourishes poets trade in to the running list, sharing its neighbours' case.
