ولا تدابروا، وكونوا عباد الله إخوانًا كما أمركم
And do not turn away from one another, and be, O servants of Allah, brothers as He commanded you.
وَكُونُوا — and be. This is wa- (and) attached to a command form of the verb 'to be', addressed to a group, so it instructs 'and be...'. Arabic has a direct command shape for 'be', and the plural addressee is built into the ending; what they are told to become is named by the words that follow.
