الْعِبَادِ — of the servants. The owner completing 'the interests of the servants', genitive, definite. Those whose welfare God attends to — the close of the passage.

الْعِبَادَ — the people. A noun, 'the servants', with 'the' for the known group, its ending marking it the direct object of the recompensing. It is whom the action is done to.
