And do not turn away from one another, and be, O servants of Allah, brothers as He commanded you.
إِخْوَانًا — brothers. This is the thing the people are commanded to become, completing 'be... brothers'. It is indefinite and takes the object ending that the command 'be' assigns to its complement, so the form marks it as what the subject is being told to turn into.
