How to say “beneath” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
For those who were conscious of their Lord, there will be gardens beneath which rivers flow.
تَحْتِهَا — beneath it. A position-word 'beneath' with -ha ('them/it') attached, meaning 'beneath them'. It is governed by the preposition before it into the genitive, and the -ha points back to the gardens — the rivers run under them. The attached pronoun folds the reference onto the location-word's tail.
