How to say “by his carrying” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَقَدْ تَحَمَّلَتْ الْأُمُّ بِحِمْلِهِ أَثْقَالًا كَثِيرَةً،
Indeed, the mother bore many heavy burdens in carrying him.
بِحِمْلِهِ — by his carrying. The bi- here means 'in / by way of', marking the manner of the bearing, and it carries the 'his' pronoun, so the word reads 'in carrying him'. The action-noun beneath it takes the suffix as the one carried, and the preposition forces the genitive. So it names how she bore burdens: through carrying the child.
