Arabic vocabulary
How to say “debauchery” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
الَّذِي قَطَعَ أَنْفَاسَهُ بِالْمُجُونِ وَاللَّهْوِ وَالْأَلْعَابِ
who cut short his life through debauchery, amusement, and games
بِالْمُجُونِ — by debauchery. The prefix 'bi-' here marks the means by which the action was done, and it forces the noun it rides on into the genitive 'after a preposition' shape. So this opens a short list of instruments (debauchery, then amusement, then games) all sharing that same 'by means of' role.
