How to say “describes” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَيَصِفُهَا فِي بَيَانٍ رَائِعٍ فِي رِحْلَتِهِ الْمَشْهُورَةِ،
And he describes it in a splendid account in his famous journey,
وَيَصِفُهَا — and describes it. A present-tense verb 'describes' with wa- on front and an 'it' object suffixed on the end, all in one word. The wa- continues the narrative ('and he describes'); the object pronoun points back to the gathering. The 'he' subject is built into the verb.
