وَيَصِفُهَا فِي بَيَانٍ رَائِعٍ فِي رِحْلَتِهِ الْمَشْهُورَةِ،
And he describes it in a splendid account in his famous journey,
رِحْلَتِهِ — his journey. A noun 'journey' with the 'his' suffix attached, governed by the 'in' before it so it carries the genitive. The possessor points back to the traveler. The attached pronoun makes the noun definite and ties the famous travelogue to him personally.
