Arabic vocabulary
How to say “eagles” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
يُنِيبُونَ إِلَى ذِكْرِي كَمَا تُنِيبُ النُّسُورُ إِلَى وَكُورِهَا،
They return to My remembrance as the eagles return to their nests.
النُّسُورَ — the eagles. This is a definite plural noun, carrying 'the', and it is the doer of the verb that came just before it. Sitting after its verb, it is the subject in the verb-first arrangement. It supplies the comparison's other half, the creatures whose homing instinct mirrors the devotees.
