Arabic vocabulary
How to say “my remembrance” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
يُنِيبُونَ إِلَى ذِكْرِي كَمَا تُنِيبُ النُّسُورُ إِلَى وَكُورِهَا،
They return to My remembrance as the eagles return to their nests.
ذِكْرِي — my remembrance. This noun has the 'my' possessor (-i) fused onto its end, so the single word means 'my remembrance'. Because the preposition before it points to a destination, the noun sits in the governed form. So it is both the goal they return to and something marked as belonging to the speaker.
