  وَيُظْفِرَهُ — empower him. The last verb in the 'an'-chain, to make triumph, causative, object 'him' attached. Because the single 'an' governs the whole series, this verb too wears the subjunctive ending though the particle is now several words back.

  ظَفَرَنِي — You grant me. A past-tense verb with the attached -ni as its object, 'me'. The doer 'You' is carried inside the verb form, so a single word holds 'You grant me', with the object pronoun fastened to the back as Arabic prefers.

  فَظَفَرَ — so he prevailed. The fa- here draws a result out of the preceding promise ('and so, as a consequence'), not a mere sequence. The rest is a completed-action verb whose doer follows it, setting up 'the patient prevailed'.
