How to say “escape” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
أَوْ يَتَخَلَّصَ مِنْ بَأْسِ اللَّهِ بِكَثْرَةِ الْبُحُوثِ وَالْجِدَالِ،
Or will he escape from the punishment of God by many debates and arguments?
يَتَخَلَّصَ — will he escape. A present-tense verb in a reflexive pattern, 'free himself / wriggle out', here in its subjunctive shape carried over from the earlier 'that'. The reflexive pattern makes him the one trying to extract himself. The subjunctive keeps it a mere imagined possibility, not a fact.
