أَوْ يَتَخَلَّصَ مِنْ بَأْسِ اللَّهِ بِكَثْرَةِ الْبُحُوثِ وَالْجِدَالِ،

الْجِدَالِ — arguments. A definite noun, 'argumentation', coordinated by the preceding 'and' with 'debates' and so genitive in the same governed phrase. With 'the', it names disputation as a known practice. It is the second item in the catalogue of empty defences.
