Arabic vocabulary
How to say “flesh” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وينسى أنه خلق من نطفة ثم من علقة، ثم صار مضغة، ثم صار عظامًا، ثم كسي لحما
and forgets that he was created from a drop, then a clot, then a lump of flesh, then bones, then clothed with flesh.
لَحْمًا — with flesh. The thing supplied in the clothing, 'flesh', in the object form even though the verb is passive, because this kind of verb keeps a second object for what is put on. Its bare ending marks it indefinite.
