Arabic vocabulary
How to say “from them” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قال فإنك من أهلها فأخرج تمرات من قرنه فجعل يأكل منهن،
He said: 'Nothing, O Messenger of Allah, except that I hope to be among its people.' So he said: 'You are indeed among its people.' Then he took out dates from his quiver and began to eat them.
مِنْهُنَّ — them. A preposition fused with the attached pronoun -hunna, the special 'them' form used only for a group treated as feminine plural. So this single word means 'from them' and its choice of -hunna agrees in gender and number with the dates mentioned earlier.
