How to say “give” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فمن زعم ذلك لم يقدر رب العالمين قدره ونسبه إلا مالا يليق به تعالى
Whoever claims that has not given the Lord of the worlds His due esteem and has attributed to Him what is not befitting.
يُقَدِّرْ — he gives. Because of the preceding negator, this present-form verb is read as completed past, 'he did not give', and its ending is cut to the jussive. On its intensive doubling pattern it means to assign full measure or due worth, and the doer 'he' is inside the form.
