How to say “goodness” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
تركها من حسن إسلام العبد،
Leaving them is part of a person’s good Islam,
حُسْنِ — good. This noun ('goodness / excellence') heads a possessive — 'the good OF...' — and sits in the genitive after 'part of'. It owns the noun that follows, building toward 'a person's good Islam'. As construct head it takes no 'the' of its own.
From: Scripture Over Speculation →ينظر الإنسان إلى حسن صورته واعتدال قوامه، فيفرح بها ويفتخر،
A person looks at the beauty of his appearance and the harmony of his form, and he rejoices in them and boasts,
حُسْنِ — the beauty. This noun opens a possessive pair, 'beauty of his appearance', placed directly before the owning noun with no word for 'of'. Governed by the preceding 'at', it sits in that preposition's required form.
