Arabic vocabulary
How to say “grant protection” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وإن أحد من المشركين استجارك فأجره حتى يسمع كلام الله
And if one of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection so he may hear the word of Allah.
فَأَجِرْهُ — so grant him. The 'fa-' delivers the result of the 'if,' here as a direct order: 'then grant him protection.' The verb is a command form, and '-hu' is 'him.' Arabic can answer a condition with an outright imperative.
