Arabic vocabulary
How to say “guidance” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَإِبْلِيسُ لَعَنَهُ اللَّهُ قَاطِعُ طَرِيقِ الْعُقْبَى لِيَصُدَّكُمْ عَنِ الْحَقِّ وَالْهُدَى
So Iblis, may God curse him, is a blocker of the path to the ultimate goal, seeking to turn you away from the truth and guidance.
وَالْهُدَى — and guidance. The 'wa-' here is a plain list 'and' coupling 'guidance' onto 'the truth' before it, so both share the same role under 'from'. The noun inherits the genitive ending from that shared preposition; the pair names jointly what you are turned away from.
