Arabic vocabulary
How to say “hadiths” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَقَدْ رُوِيَّنَا عَنْ ابْنِ عَائِشَةَ أَحَادِيثًا مِلَاحًا فِي بَعْضِهَا رِفْثٌ،
And indeed we have narrated from Ibn Aisha hadiths that are witty, and some of them contain obscenity.
أَحَادِيثًا — hadiths. An indefinite plural noun (no 'the') serving as the thing narrated, so it stands as the receiver-of-the-action of the narration verb and wears the accusative object ending. Being indefinite, it reads 'some witty reports', open rather than specific.
