Arabic vocabulary
How to say “he believed” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
إِنْ قِيلَ لَكَ إِنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ مَعَكَ فَتَوَارَى خَلْفَ حَائِطٍ فَمَاتَ فَصَدَّقَ،
If it is said to you that a man was with you, withdrew behind a wall, and died, then believe.
فَصَدَّقَ — then believe. This is fronted by an attached 'then' that answers the opening 'if', delivering the consequence and so closing the condition. The verb directs the listener to accept the whole reported account. The joined particle is doing the if/then resolution.
