فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَمْشِيَ مَعَهُ أَحَدٌ ـ قَالَ ـ
So I thought that he disliked anyone walking with him, he said.
يَكْرَهُ — he disliked. A present-tense verb, 'he dislikes/finds hateful', with its 'he' subject built in. It is the heart of the reported thought and governs the clause that follows, naming the attitude the speaker supposed the Messenger held.
From: Paradise for the Sincere →وَلَا يَكْرَهُهَا إِلَّا مُؤَنَّثُهُمْ
And only the females among them dislike it.
يَكْرَهُهَا — dislikes it. A present-tense verb ending in -ha 'it', so the object is fused onto the verb. The doer ('he/she') is built into the verb shape, and the -ha points back to the salt, marking it as what is disliked.
