Arabic vocabulary
How to say “hidden” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
غَيْرُ خَافٍ عَلَى عَاقِلٍ حَقُّ الْمُنْعِمِ،
The right of the benefactor is not hidden from a sensible person.
خَافٍ — hidden. This is an active participle, a 'doer' word meaning 'hidden / concealing', and it is the thing being negated by 'other-than' before it, sitting in the genitive as that word's complement. Its indefinite tanwin marks it as a general 'anything hidden'. The whole pairing says the right is not the sort of thing that stays concealed.
