How to say “hide” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فثمة طريق قد بقي لا أكتمه عنك ، وهو كثرة الدعاء ،
Then there remains a path I do not hide from you, which is abundant supplication,
أَكْتُمُهُ — hide it. This is a present-tense verb 'I hide' with the attached -hu 'it' as its object, so one word means 'I hide it'. The first-person 'I' is built into the verb's shape, and the -hu points back to the path; the verb is under the 'not' before it.
