فَثَمَّرْتُ أَجْرَهُ حَتَّى كَثُرَتْ مِنْهُ الْأَمْوَالُ،
So I let his wage grow until it multiplied into wealth.
أَجْرَهُ — his wage. A noun with an attached 'his' pronoun and no 'the', the possessor making it definite, and an ending marking it as the direct object of 'made grow'. The 'his' reaches back to the departed laborer, naming whose wage was invested.
