How to say “I let it grow” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَثَمَّرْتُ أَجْرَهُ حَتَّى كَثُرَتْ مِنْهُ الْأَمْوَالُ،
So I let his wage grow until it multiplied into wealth.
فَثَمَّرْتُ — so I let it grow. A past-tense verb with the 'I' subject in its '-tu' ending; its doubled-middle pattern gives it a causative force, 'I made it grow / I invested it'. The opening 'fa-' ties the action to the man's departure as what the speaker then did with the wage.
